1962 Fender Jazz Bass - Refin Natural

$2,070 $3,450

This amazing Fender Jazz Bass started life in 1960 as a Blonde example. The original color is still clearly visible in the control and pickup cavities as well as sprayed over the original body date, which reads 8/60, in the front pickup cavity. There are also remnants of the original color in the neck cavity, on the neck itself as well as the string mutes, which are included with the instrument. This bass was constructed using a solid piece of Ash, displaying amazing grain and character. This choice of woods generally only used for Blonde and special order Natural examples. Pots date to 23rd week of 1961 and the body dates to 7th of October 1962. Truss rod still works perfectly, frets have lots of life, neck is great condition, original nut is still lacquered over and the Brazilian board is in great condition, showing great color and grain. The bass plays incredibly well, sounds fantastic and functions perfectly! It will certainly be an awesome example to add to any collection, studio or even just to GIG! Comes complete with original brown Fender case and vintage strap. Weighs in at perfect 8 lbs 14 oz. Please mail or call with any questions.
