1998 Tippin Guitars D Model Acoustic Guitar

$3,000 $5,000

Bill Tippin has been building high quality acoustic guitars for more than 30 years, using some of the highest quality woods on the planet. This 1998 "D Model" is a true a testament to that. The back and sides are constructed from high grade, quilted Honduran mahogany that was salvaged from Bayou Chico, which sat on the side of a now defunct mill in Pensacola, Florida. This mill was the largest importer of mahogany in the country for many years. The dense, old growth log lived underwater for more than 100 years before being rescued and used to construct a few amazing instruments such as this one. This fine guitar is rounded out with an amazing Adirondack Red Spruce top, mahogany neck, ebony board & bridge and abalone snowflake inlays. The tone and projection of this guitar is undeniable! It truly sounds fantastic. Comes complete with non-original hardshell case. Please email or call with any questions.
