Used PRS Wood Library McCarty 594 in Blood Tiger 17241918

One of our inaugural run of PRS Wood Library Instruments is back in on trade! This one is still in great shape4 though does show some light finish wear common with any guitar that has been played a bit. The neck is straight, the frets are still in perfect shape, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case.

We have fallen head over heels for the new McCarty 594 so we took a trip out to the PRS and Hand Selected each piece of exotic wood that went into this Limited Edition Run of 10 guitars. The back body is made from very light weight Korina giving this guitar an open and airy top end that is never nasally or searing. The Insanely Figured Maple Top is rated above an Artist Package but just wasn’t quite up to snuff for a Private Stock. No pictures could ever do a Top this gorgeous justice. You just can’t appreciate the depth of the figuring unless you have it in front of you. The neck is also made from Korina but is then topped with a Ziricote Fretboard. A very interesting looking wood that has a variety of hues and shades with in it. We put the Chunky Pattern Vintage neck on them for a Late 50’s Gibson feel that so many of our customers love. The pickups, hands down our favorite sounding PRS pickup of all time, are the 58/15LT which sound as good in humbucker mode as they do when coil tapped. If you have ever wanted something Les Paul-ish but that addressed many of the issues plaguing the long-time favorite, the 594 is absolutely worth getting in your hands.
